The Art Cruise Crew first major exhibition was held deep in the heart of London's impressive new Paddington development. (view map of the area)
The Art Cruise Crew are a diverse group of young and professional artists
who have been working collaboratively to produce an exciting new body of work.

London based artists Anna Lewis, Chris Follows, Nawfal Salman, Camilla Lyon
and Sophie Baker
joined forces with 12 young artists from St Augustine's
school, Westminster to produce paintings, sculpture and animation based upon
the changing architectural landscape of this individual area of the capital.

12 young artists from St Augustine's school
Ethel Mann, Jaye Braithwaite, Tiago Mattis, Nadia Amonhlal, Charlotte O'shea, Hasnae Serroukh, Jefferson Catlyn, Hayatt El-kadmiri, Tanisha Cashmir-West, Kar Wing Lee, Angela Kwashie, Melanie Mann.

The Art Cruise is part of a yearlong extra curricular programme devised by
Anna Lewis, Arts Co-ordinator for Beauchamp Lodge Settlement. The Creative
Cruises introduce young people from inner city schools to the workings and
practices of contemporary artists, providing a chance for the young people
to work along side them as equals.

Over the last two months The Crew could be found in their 'floating studio'
on board the impressive 70ft Beauchamp boat as it cruised around the
Paddington development.(visit beauchamp website)

The exhibition was a unique opportunity to experience a fresh, creative
response to the Paddington development through the eyes of a new generation.

Beauchamp Lodge Settlement is a registered charity based on Harrow Road in
North Westminster. Set up in 1938 to relieve poverty in the Paddington area,
it has been working with local communities ever since to provide services,
support and opportunities where they are most needed.
